Adam leads the development of AddressHate’s technology products, building the machine learning and natural language processing systems that power our research and our implicit hate classifier. He holds a BS in Applied Mathematics (Presidential Scholar) and an MS in Computer Science, both from the University of Southern California, where his graduate work centered on NLP, deep learning, and affective computing.
His research spans NLP, computer vision, and machine learning for cybersecurity. He was a CyberFire researcher at the Los Alamos National Laboratory (ML and cybersecurity), a researcher at the University of Göttingen (misinformation detectors testing data generation), and built production machine learning at Leadspace (sales data intelligence). He has a wide breadth of experience using machine learning to measure hate and antisemitism at scale, having founded an eight-person data team at Olami studying campus antisemitism, automating the archiving process of digital hate with the AMCHA Initiative, and building tools to measure and explore viewpoint diversity at Claremont McKenna College.
