How is hate disseminated?
By examining hate's digital manifestations and the technologies enabling its spread, especially through social media, we will address the questions:
1. What does a technology-first approach mean for identifying digital hate and how does it contrast with traditional approaches
2. What is the atomic unit of digital hate?
3. What is the number of general combinations of key words or actions that constitute hate that can be technologically captured and analyzed?
4. Can we create a finite number of combinations to define hate?
5. What is the most appropriate number?
6. Can we generate a map using computer science that connects the finite set of combinations to different themes that are semantically similar?
7. While the Becker dataset focuses on antisemitism, how can we create similar datasets frameworks that address other hates?
8. Is there an easier more universal approach to detecting hate?
9. With a definition of digital hate, what are the media and how is information communicated?
